Meet some of the people who've done something incredible for us recently:
Joanna Chandramani ran the The Wiggle Manchester Half Marathon for us on Sunday 13th October. This event has taken place in Manchester every October since it was launched in 2016. Last year over 13,000 runners took part, so we know that Joanna was in good company. She decided to run the Manchester half-marathon in memory of her close friend Catherine and raised over £450 for The Brain Charity while doing so.
In September Lucie Connolly ran the Simplyhealth Great North Run in Newcastle. She decided to run for The Brain Charity in memory of her grandfather Peter. Lucie chose to do the run in Newcastle as she had studied at university there and thought it would be a great send off from the city. She raised a fantastic £728 for the Charity.
Teresa King organised fundraisers for The Brain Charity that took place in a couple of pubs around Glasgow. She did this in memory of her late partner Jimmy who sadly passed away in August of 2018 from a brain haemorrhage. Teresa raised a staggering £1,713.60 with these events.
Our sincere thanks go to our featured fundraisers and to every one of our supporters who give their time and energy to raise much needed funds and awareness for The Brain Charity.
