Physical activity in children with acquired brain injury

- #187 by The Brain Charity
Elizabeth Exall is seeking participants for an independentresearch project for her MSc Health Psychology degree at the University of Nottingham.
The purpose of this research is to explore via telephone or Skype interview how parents of children with an acquired brain injury (ABI) experience their child’s participation in physical activity and to identify perceived barriers and facilitators to their child’s engagement in physical activity.

In addition, this research will also explore if/how parents’ perceptions and attitudes towards their child’s engagement in physical activity has changed as a result of their child’s ABI, and the unique experiences associated with this.
This research will help inform further research in this area as well as practice and policy.
This study has received ethical approval from the University of Nottingham Division of Rehabilitation and Ageing Research Ethics Committee.
