The Brain Charity’s annual carol concert 2023

Relive the magic of a very special evening with us

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the festive season at our carol concert on Wednesday, December 6 at St Francis Xavier’s church, Everton.

Thanks to all the performers for their outstanding contributions!

LIPA Primary and High School choir treated us to Last Christmas (thus spoiling our Whamageddon chances) and the fabulous Jingle Bell Rock.

Our Brain Charity choir (main picture) sang a capella with Once in Royal David’s city and some beautiful solos from Jodie and Rae.

SingMe Merseyside came fully equipped with Korg (piano) and their 18-strong choir to get us all dancing.

We were blessed to have Asylum Link return to entertain with an array of international tunes, including for the first time ‘Feliz Navidad’!

Mia, daughter of our own talented Jess, sang her first ever solo on the evening – a beautiful rendition of A Million Dreams, which brought a tear to many eyes.

And our special guest, Esme, is fully trained in musical theatre and her operatic voice lifted the church to new heights with her beautiful melodies.

Our choir and staff paid tribute to Janet, our colleague who died from a brain tumour this year. She championed community events and loved the carol concert. The Brain Charity choir performed the Cradle Lullaby in her memory.

It was a chilly night but the singing kept us all warm.
