Basic IT skills
Build confidence with technology in our friendly and supportive Basic IT skills course. Ideal for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge, this six‑week course introduces you to essential digital skills for everyday life.
With step‑by‑step guidance from a patient, experienced tutor, you’ll learn how to use tablets and other devices, browse the internet, send and receive emails, and understand the basics of online safety. Sessions are practical, relaxed and paced to suit the group, with plenty of time to ask questions and practise new skills.
It’s a hands‑on course designed to boost confidence as well as ability, helping you feel more comfortable and independent when using technology.
The course runs in six‑week blocks, with a new block starting once the previous one ends. We encourage attendees to take part in all six sessions so they can get the most benefit and support as their skills develop week by week. We understand, however, that circumstances don’t always allow for perfect attendance, and we’ll do our best to support you whenever you’re able to join us.
Tablets are provided for use during the sessions, but you’re very welcome to bring your own device if you’d prefer to learn on something familiar.
Places are limited to ensure everyone receives individual support and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Sign up for the next available block to build your IT skills in a welcoming, supportive environment.
