Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a gentle form of exercise that helps improve flexibility, posture and breathing — all while seated. It is especially suitable for people with limited mobility, balance difficulties, or fatigue.

This low-impact class is designed to help you move and stretch in a way that feels safe and comfortable. Sessions focus on breathwork, mindfulness, and simple, supportive movements that can reduce stiffness and ease tension.

The sessions can be taken entirely from a chair, with no need to stand. All movements and poses can be adapted to suit individual needs, including for wheelchair users.

Each session will include guided breathing exercises, gentle stretches, and relaxation techniques.

The sessions are based in our Neuro Gym, upstairs at The Brain Charity. The location is accessible and we have a lift.

Comfortable clothing is recommended. Please wear flat shoes or trainers — not bare feet or socks.

This ongoing class is open to all those with neurological conditions, and participants of any level are welcome.

The session takes place every Friday between 1pm and 2pm.

Places are limited to 12 per session, so click the sign-up button to reserve your place today.
