Tai chi & qi gong

Tai chi is a great low-impact activity.  It focuses on improving your balance and core strength. Generally, it is accessible to everyone no matter your age or ability.

This activity is particularly popular because building strength and balance can reduce the risk of falling, as well as ease the symptoms of various health conditions.

The sessions can be taken seated or standing. Many of the movements and poses involved can be adapted for people with disabilities, including wheelchair users.

Each session will work on gentle movement and breathing.

The sessions are based in our Neuro Gym, upstairs at The Brain Charity. The location is fully accessible and we have a lift.

Clothing should be loose, and flat pumps or trainers should be worn (not barefoot/ socks).

This 6-week block course is open to all those with neurological conditions and participants of any level are welcome.
