Walking football for Parkinson’s
Everton in the Community is delivering fun, inclusive and low-impact walking football sessions for Brain Charity clients living with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions.
For people with Parkinson’s exercise can help manage physical symptoms, improve sleep, cognitive functioning and forms an integral part of most treatment plans – improving social, physical and mental health.
The weekly sessions aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment. Carers and family members are welcome to stay and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat, as well as receiving specialist advice from clinical staff.
Sessions are free to attend and held on an all-weather 3G AstroTurf pitch.
