The Brain Charity Christmas Appeal 2025
At Christmas, everyone has a list.
Ours has just one wish: to reach more people living with neurological conditions.
This festive season, we’re aiming to raise £30,000 to make sure no one faces the challenges of a neurological condition alone. Our community face huge financial challenges: unemployment, lack of access to services, and a higher cost of living.
With your support, we can provide vital advice, emotional support, and practical help to people who need it most, ensuring they can not only survive and make ends meet, but thrive.
Double the difference you make
Thanks to the Aviva Community Fund, your first donation up to £250 will be matched pound for pound — instantly doubling your impact.
That means your generosity can go twice as far in bringing comfort, hope, and joy to those who need support and may otherwise feel forgotten.
Shine your light on our Christmas tree
For every supporter who gives to our appeal, we will put a star on The Brain Charity Christmas Tree at our Centre on Norton Street.
You’ll have the chance to add a personal message of hope, gratitude, or remembrance to your star — transforming our tree into a beacon of light and love this festive season.
Why your gift matters
Christmas is a time of connection, but for many people living with neurological conditions, it can also be a time of financial hardship and uncertainty. Many have lost jobs due their health, face higher costs of living, and are struggling to make ends meet — making it difficult to afford the essentials, let alone enjoy the festive season.
Your donation can help fund:
- Expert advice and information for people with neurological conditions.
- Free counselling for those struggling.
- Hands-on support that helps them navigate the complex welfare benefits system.
- Practical assistance to make life just a little bit easier.
All funds raised will support our Information and Advice team, who help clients every day to manage the practical and financial challenges of a neurological condition.

Your gift will change the lives of people like Christine, who lives with the rare condition HPX. She struggled for years to get a diagnosis and was therefore unable to apply for welfare benefits.
We supported her to apply for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), and to become financially confident.
Together, we can make sure nobody feels left behind this Christmas.
Add one more gift to your list
As you tick off your Christmas shopping and prepare for the holidays, please add one more gift to your list — the gift of hope, community, and brighter futures for people with neurological conditions.
Help us tick off the most important wish on our list this Christmas.
Thank you
Every star on our Christmas tree shines with your kindness. Together, we can bring light, warmth, and joy to hundreds of people this festive season.
From all of us at The Brain Charity—thank you, and Merry Christmas.
