Spinal injury support group

The Spinal Injuries Association Mersey and North West branch holds a support group at The Brain Charity on the first Wednesday of each month at 2pm.

The group also meets online via Microsoft Teams on the third Wednesday of each month at 2pm.

The group is for people affected by any of the following:

  • Spinal cord impairment through injury, trauma, virus, spinal tumour etc.
  • Cauda Equina syndrome
  • Spina Bifida or other congenital condition
  • Neuropathic pain or any other spinal problems

The group is as much about socialising, meeting like-minded people and friendly support as it is about staging seminars on a range of topics. They have a very broad membership from all walks of life, with a variety of interests and life experiences.

Membership is free, so all you need to do is come along to one of the regular physical or online catch-up meetings armed with nothing more than a smile, although chocolate biscuits do help smooth any introductions!

For people attending physically at The Brain Charity, a free lunch is available from 1pm.
