The transition to adult services

This free event at The Brain Charity is for parents/carers and young people who are looking for support with navigating the transition from children’s to adult services.

We will cover all aspects of this transition process with the aim of ensuring that young people smoothly integrate into adult-focused systems of support for their ongoing well-being and independence.

Guest speakers:

  • Liz Davis – Community care cases and court of protection solicitor at Irwin Mitchell
  • Ken Lawton – DWP Disability Services – benefits advice and support
  • Jacqui Rogers – Trust transition lead nurse – Alder Hey

PLUS: Social workers, LIVPAC, SENDIASS* caseworker, Brain Charity staff & activities providers.

The event runs from 9.30am-2pm on Thursday 14th September 2023.

A light lunch will be provided.
